Job Summary
Board-certified or board-eligible Emergency Medicine Physician sought to staff Centra’s network of ERs in central Virginia (Lynchburg, Farmville, Gretna, Bedford). Responsibilities include working within a physician-heavy, employed group with equitable scheduling, no solo site coverage, and an orientation period. Role supports a Nocturnist program with options for days/evenings only and no required on-call duties. Practice settings vary from busy community trauma centers to free-standing ERs, with guaranteed time off and a schedule designed around patient acuity and staffing. Competitive compensation with sign-on bonus, up to $120k student loan repayment, relocation assistance, CME allowance, and robust benefits. Requires MD/DO with ABMS board certification in emergency medicine (or in process of certifying). Located in Virginia with multiple hospital campuses and affiliated CMG network.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of medical degree and residency/fellowship training in emergency medicine
- MD/DO with certification by an American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) board in physician's primary specialty. Must be board certified or in the process of certifying.
