Job Summary
Emergency Medicine Physician opportunity to staff Centra Health’s four ERs in central Virginia (Lynchburg, Farmville, Bedford, Gretna). Board-certified or board-eligible physicians provide care across diverse settings including a level 2 trauma center, busy community EDs, and a Behavioral Health unit under construction. Role features include equitable scheduling with no seniority-based biases, extensive orientation, active nocturnist program, option for days/evenings only (no nights), no scheduled call, and a mix of cross-covered and standalone ED environments. Benefits include guaranteed time off up to 10 days per month, sign-on, relocation assistance, student loan repayment up to $120k, CME allowance, and comprehensive health and retirement plans.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of medical degree and residency/fellowship training in emergency medicine
- MD/DO with certification by an ABMS board in physician's primary specialty. Must be board certified or in the process of certifying.
