Job Summary
Staffing four ERs in central Virginia with an employed group in an academic-like environment. Responsibilities include providing emergency medical care in diverse settings (community trauma center to free-standing ED) with an equitable scheduling model, nocturnist program, orientation period, and possible teaching/student options. Competitive benefits with sign-on bonus, up to $15k relocation assistance, CME allowance, loan repayment support, malpractice coverage, and no scheduled call. No mandatory night shifts; options for day/evening only. Board-certified or board-eligible physicians in emergency medicine are sought to manage patient loads of approximately 1.7–2.2 patients per hour and participate in a supportive, physician-heavy staffing model.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of medical degree and residency/fellowship training in emergency medicine
- MD/DO with certification by an American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) board in physician's primary specialty. Must be board certified or in the process of certifying.
