Job Summary
Emergency Medicine Physician needed to staff Centra Health's network of 4 ERs in central Virginia (Lynchburg, Farmville, Bedford, Gretna). Board-certified or board-eligible in emergency medicine required. Roles involve varied settings from busy community trauma centers to stand-alone EDs with a collegial employed-group structure, orientation program, nocturnist options, and flexible off-days. Responsibilities include staffing 10-hour shifts across multiple sites, balancing patient acuity, and providing high-quality acute care across multiple facilities; opportunities for teaching and CME, with sign-on bonus, student loan repayment, relocation assistance, and comprehensive benefits. MD/DO with ABMS certification or active certification is required, along with residency/fellowship in emergency medicine. Leadership and scheduling do not confer seniority, and no solo site coverage is noted. Nocturnist program details and bonus/relocation options are highlighted. EOE.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of medical degree and residency/fellowship training in emergency medicine
- MD/DO with certification by an American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) board in physician's primary specialty. Must be board certified or in the process of certifying.
