Job Summary
Emergency Medicine Physician needed to staff Centra Health’s four Georgia? Virginia-based ERs in Lynchburg, Farmville, Bedford, and Gretna with a collegial employed group. Roles include shift coverage across multiple sites, with 10-hour shifts arranged to match patient arrivals; no scheduled call; nocturnist program with flexible scheduling; option for days/evenings only (no nights) and shared coverage with APPs. Practice setting includes busy community trauma centers and a free-standing ED, with programs in acute MI and stroke and ongoing departmental expansion (new ED design in progress). Equity in scheduling, months-long orientation, strong support for CME, sign-on bonus, student loan repayment up to 120k, relocation assistance up to 15k, malpractice tail, and comprehensive benefits. Must have MD/DO degree and board certification or active certification in Emergency Medicine per ABMS.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of medical degree and residency/fellowship training in emergency medicine
- MD/DO with certification by an ABMS board in physician's primary specialty
- Board certified or in the process of certifying in emergency medicine
