Emergency Medicine

Emergency Medicine physician sought for a community ER in Plainview, TX. The role involves performing procedures and managing patients typically handled by teams in urban settings, including ATLS/ACLS/PALS-certified care with expanded POCUS, intubation (direct and video), central line placement, and chest tube insertion. The team operates a 12-hour shift schedule with single coverage, supported by APP during the day and a solo physician at night, with travel and lodging covered and 1099 status. Compensation is $275/hour for daytime and $280/hour for nights/weekends. Criteria include current ATLS and ABEM certification. Predominantly nights and weekends with potential daytime PTO coverage; 24/7 CT ultrasound, glide scopes, trauma level 4, and ~13K annual visits across 49 beds. Experience in rural Texas medical practice and ability to work with limited resources are implied.
