Job Summary
Emergency Medicine practice as a NP/PA in a full-time ED role. Performs complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in diagnosing emergency medical problems and prescribing necessary treatment for quality patient care. Records data and tentative conclusions for physician review; coordinates and schedules laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures; explains the necessity and preparation of procedures to patients. Delivers patient care under indirect physician supervision using advanced medical knowledge; monitors patient progress and consults with supervising physician when progress does not meet criteria. Plans and schedules work for the physician health team, ensures proper staffing and facilities for duties; participates in basic science and clinical research projects; prepares statistical reports; teaches students, residents and interns in complex Emergency Medicine techniques; ensures complete documentation in the medical record; participates in continuing education; maintains age/developmentally appropriate care per guidelines. Highly emphasizes professionalism, communication, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment with rotating shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- PA Licensure
