Job Summary
Conduct emergency medicine faculty duties across three clinical sites: Temple University Hospital Main Campus (Level 1 Trauma Center), the inner city emergency department at the Episcopal Campus, and the Jeanes Campus in the northern suburbs of Philadelphia. Manage clinical teaching for the EM residency program and medical students, with time distribution matched to staffing needs and personal interest. Support the William Maul Measey Institute for Clinical Simulation and Patient Safety, Global Medicine programs, the Temple Transport Team, Ultrasound education, and the Pre-Clinical Doctoring program. Maintain board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine and hold an unrestricted DEA and Pennsylvania medical license. Prioritize resident and medical student education while demonstrating sensitivity to the diverse urban community.
Required Qualifications
- M.D., D.O. or foreign equivalent
- Successful completion of an ACGME accredited residency program in Emergency Medicine prior to start date
- Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted DEA and medical license from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania prior to start date
- A strong commitment to resident and medical student education
- Sensitivity to the culture, needs, and aspirations of the community
