Job Summary
The Emergency Medicine Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) supports the physician in delivering emergency medical care, including obtaining patient history and physicals, interpreting findings, and assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Responsibilities include aiding in management of treatment plans, providing technical assistance to ensure quality patient care, maintaining positive relationships with patients and families, and functioning under physician supervision. This role requires formal PA or APRN training, licensure in Kentucky, and certification/registration as applicable. The position is based in Lexington, KY, with an emphasis on professional collaboration within the emergency medicine team.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited program of physician assistant studies with Physician Assistant certification and current Kentucky State Board of Medical Licensure, or graduation from a school of nursing with Advanced RN Practitioner registration and current Kentucky State Board of Nursing licensure
