Job Summary
Conduct daily care for sick or injured campers and staff, responding to emergencies and providing mental health first aid when necessary. Assist with opening and closing procedures at the Summit Health Lodge while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area. Model the Scout Oath and Law in all interactions and perform additional duties assigned by leadership. Complete HazMat, Bloodborne Pathogens, and Mass Casualty Incident training; obtain WV State EMT Certification. Work an on-call rotation with 45-55 hours weekly, standing and hiking up to 8 hours daily while lifting up to 100 pounds. Maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment while connecting with diverse age groups.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age: 18+
- Emergency Medical Technician Certification
- valid NREMT Certification
- Able to obtain WV State EMT Certification
- HazMat training
- Bloodborne Pathogens training
- Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) training
- Valid driver's license
- ability to obtain Summit UTV and vehicle permit
- Willing to become a registered Scouting America member
- Ability to stand, walk, and hike up to 8 hours daily
- ability to lift/move up to 100 pounds
- Stamina to repeatedly lift, bend, and kneel
- Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work-related communication
Desired Qualifications
