Job Summary
Respond to emergency and non-emergent calls for service, providing initial assessment, treatment, and transport of ill or injured persons. Deliver Primary Care Paramedic level care while operating as a member of a multi-disciplinary team. Maintain independence in performing duties and adhere to the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement. Work evenings, weekends, and standby shifts in a rotation of 28 four-hour shifts per eight weeks. This role is based at the Prairie Health Care Centre in Cabri for those holding a Primary Care Paramedic diploma and relevant certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Primary Care Paramedic diploma (PCP)
- Automated External Defibrillator Certificate (AED)
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR)
- Registered Emergency Medical Technician/Primary Care Paramedic (EMT/PCP)
- Valid Class 4 driver's license
- International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS)
- Ability to work independently
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position
- Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
- Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at PCP/EMT level
Desired Qualifications
- Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement
