Job Summary
Emergency Medical Services EMT/PCP responds to emergency and non-emergency events, provides assessment, treatment and transportation of ill or injured persons in accordance with The Saskatchewan Ambulance Act and related protocols; requires ability to lift/load stretcher regularly, work effectively under high stress, and function both independently and as part of a team. Requires Front-line pre-hospital care capabilities, with knowledge of EMS legislation and Saskatchewan Health Authority policies; proficient in communication, computer skills, and operating emergency vehicles safely; shifts include days, nights, evenings, weekends, and standby with 36-hour shifts per rotation over 12 weeks; part-time position with 0.71 FTE.”,
Required Qualifications
- Primary Care Paramedic Certificate from an approved educational institute
- Valid Class 4 driver's license
- Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (BCLS)
- Current CPR certification
- International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS)
- Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at PCP/EMT level
