Job Summary
Provide emergent and non-emergent Basic Life Support (BLS) services to the sick and injured, continuing care until hospital authorities or a Paramedic assumes responsibility. Maintain a valid Class 4 driver's license and hold a Basic Life Support Certificate, with preference given to HSAS members per the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement. Work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team while operating independently during standby shifts of 56 hours per 16 weeks. Registered or eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at PCP/EMT level.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class 4 driver's license
- Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
- Pre-Hospital Care Program - Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) Level
- Advanced - Communication skills
- Advanced - Interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to work independently
- Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at PCP/EMT level
