Job Summary
Emergency Medical Technician provides emergency and non-emergency assessment, treatment, and transportation of ill or injured persons per provincial acts, regulations, and SHA policies; works under the direction of the area manager, available for day, night, weekend, and standby shifts; duties include safe vehicle operation, critical thinking in high-stress situations, and teamwork with paramedics and healthcare providers; requires Paramedic credentials, ITLS and BLS-CPR certifications, and a valid Class 4 driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- Primary Care Paramedic Certificate from an approved educational institute
- Valid Class 4 driver’s license
- International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS)
- Basic Life Support-Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (BLS-CPR) certification
- Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at PCP/EMT level
Desired Qualifications
