Job Summary
Provide advanced pre-hospital medical care as a Paramedic/EMT on 911 calls, operate medical equipment (defibrillator, ECG monitor, oxygen, suction), establish IV access, communicate with patients and families, lead on scene when needed, drive the ambulance, and collaborate with allied health and public safety personnel. Utilize Paramedic skills with equipment and procedures to deliver high-quality care and support scene and unit management as required. Work as part of a cohesive EMS team to maintain AMR/GMR standards and community relations. This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, Kansas paramedic certification or eligibility, a valid state driver’s license, and BLS/ACLS (PALS preferred).
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Kansas Paramedic certification or eligible for Kansas certification.
- State Driver’s License.
- BLS and ACLS required upon hire. PALS is preferred, but not required.
- Driving record compliant with company policy.
- Pass Physical Agility Test.
- Some work experience, preferably healthcare.
