Job Summary
Conduct pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact until patient care is relinquished to the accepting medical facility. Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight within the specified time frame and attend pre-mission briefings and mission debriefings. Perform daily base checks including narcotic counts, assist in pre-mission liftoff checklists, and conduct aircraft safety briefings as needed. Maintain competency through ongoing laboratory and clinical experiences while documenting licensure, certifications, and continuing education in the Employee Education Manual. Comply with safety standards to ensure the safety of self, medical personnel, patients, and equipment prior to liftoff. Fill open or vacant shifts within the assigned area as deemed appropriate by the Regional Director.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience in a 911 or critical care setting
- Current EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- NRP certification
- Trauma certification
- Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C) certification within 24 months from date of hire
- NREMT-P certification in assigned area
Desired Qualifications
- Prior flight experience
- Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS
