Job Summary
The Emergency Medical Technician will primarily manage the enrollment of eligible justice-involved individuals into a state screening and enrollment program, with a focus on administrative and technical responsibilities. Key functions include entering enrollment data, verifying successful enrollment, managing Medi-Cal eligible patients, performing patient care functions, and acting as part of the interdisciplinary team. Candidates must possess current EMT and CPR certifications, experience as an EMT, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. Knowledge of infection control and the ability to follow instructions in a stressful environment are also essential.
Required Qualifications
- Current EMT Certification
- Current CPR certification
- Valid California Class C Driver License
- Successfully clear the LA County Live Scan process
- Successfully clear the Health Clearance
Desired Qualifications
- E.R. experience preferred
- Experience in Correctional Health Facilities
