Job Summary
Monitor and respond to patient needs under Registered Nurse direction, supporting respiratory care activities like tracheostomy care and suctioning. Assist with feeding, hygiene, toileting, positioning, and mobility while observing and reporting changes in patient condition. Participate in emergency response procedures to assist with patient stabilization and maintain infection-control standards. Complete required documentation accurately and timely while adhering to ongoing training and competency guidelines. This role supports medically fragile children in the Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care program within a clinically-owned, family-run organization focused on patient outcomes and advocacy.
Required Qualifications
- Active Florida Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification
- Current CPR certification
- Successful completion of background screening and TB clearance requirements
- Ability to bend, kneel, lift, and assist with patient positioning and mobility
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Visual and auditory acuity to monitor patients and equipment
- Manual dexterity to safely perform emergency support and patient care tasks
Desired Qualifications
- Pediatric care experience
- Experience working with medically complex patients
- Previous PPEC or pediatric clinical experience
