Job Summary
Monitor and respond to patient needs under the direction of a Registered Nurse, supporting respiratory care activities like tracheostomy care and suctioning. Assist with feeding, hygiene, toileting, positioning, and mobility while observing and promptly reporting changes in patient condition. Participate in emergency response procedures, maintain infection-control standards, and complete required documentation accurately. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe care environment. This role offers full-time and part-time day shift opportunities in a supportive team-based environment focused on medically fragile children.
Required Qualifications
- Active Florida Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification
- Current CPR certification
- Successful completion of background screening and TB clearance requirements
- Ability to bend, kneel, lift, and assist with patient positioning and mobility
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Visual and auditory acuity to monitor patients and equipment
- Manual dexterity to safely perform emergency support and patient care tasks
Desired Qualifications
- Pediatric care experience
- Experience working with medically complex patients
- Previous PPEC or pediatric clinical experience
