Job Summary
Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) provides high-quality pre-hospital and emergency care on-site and during transit prior to facility transport. Responsibilities include rapid patient assessment and management of injuries/illness, collaboration with paramedics and nursing staff, maintaining accurate medical records, adhering to clinical guidelines and SOPs, supporting training and quality assurance, coordinating with external emergency services, and ongoing CPD to maintain clinical competence. Requires EU EMT license, ACLS/ALS certification, minimum 2 years of full-time EMT experience, and readiness to work in on-site emergency/transport contexts. Location: Bucharest, Romania; work arrangement: in-person. DH care standards, infection prevention/control, and compliance with organizational policies are required.
Required Qualifications
- Currently registered and actively licensed as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or national equivalent in an EU member state
- Valid ACLS or ALS certification
- Minimum of two (2) years of full-time, relevant professional experience as an EMT after registration
- Experience as EMT/paramedic in emergency medicine, pre-hospital care, or transportation medicine
- Desirable: experience in military ambulance, humanitarian aid mission, disaster sites, or remote/austere environments
