Job Summary
This part-time, seasonal role supports Central Lakes College EMT students and faculty by assisting with laboratory instruction, maintaining lab equipment, and upholding safety standards. The position emphasizes communication with students and instructors, instruction on equipment operation, and adherence to college policies and curriculum to develop guidelines and goals with students. Evening hours (5:00pm–10:00pm, Monday–Thursday) are required for the academic year, with telework not provided. The ideal candidate will have EMS education/licensure or relevant EMS teaching experience, plus knowledge of lab practices and the ability to demonstrate and maintain techniques and safety in the lab.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Qualifications: Post-secondary or industry certificate/diploma/degree or relevant license in Emergency Medical Services (EMS), OR Six months teaching/tutoring experience in EMS at the high school level or above, OR Two years of work experience in EMS where no degree/certificate/diploma/licensure is required, OR An equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Preferred Qualification: Knowledge of lab/shop equipment sufficient to instruct others on proper use and perform maintenance.
- Work Shift: 5 hours/day, 5:00pm-10:00pm, Monday-Thursday for academic year (8/17/2026-5/28/2027)
