Emergency Medical Technician (Basic & Advanced)

Lead, direct, and participate in the delivery of basic and advanced life support in pre-hospital or facility situations while operating as an attendant-in-charge. Examine patients, report findings to medical staff, and deliver emergency care according to protocols and medical control. Operate the ambulance in accordance with safety rules, federal, state, and local regulations. Complete and record all required reports, ensure the vehicle is stocked and in good running order, and maintain the patient care compartment and parking area. Fuel the unit at the end of every shift to maintain emergency readiness. Lift and carry up to 250 pounds with assistance as required. Attend training sessions and maintain active Virginia EMT Certification, CPR, and other required licenses.
