Provides basic to advanced life support within the EMT-A scope; coordinates emergency care with hospital staff; transports patients; participates in medical responses including stabilizing, extrication, high angle, confined space, trench, water and boat rescue, hazardous materials operations; operates medical apparatus; maintains records and reports; conducts community safety programs and training; assists with equipment maintenance and station readiness; requires GA EMT-A license, physical agility test, and favorable background check.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Georgia EMT-A license
- Valid driver's license with favorable driving history
- Successful completion of a physical agility test
- Favorable background history
- Possession of physical endurance and agility
- Knowledge of Emergency Medical Techniques and procedures
- Ability to prepare detailed written and electronic reports
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
