Job Summary
EMS Instructor to plan, deliver, and assess EMS courses across classroom, laboratory, simulation, and field-based environments; coordinate EMS clinical, internship, and field experiences; develop and maintain syllabi aligned with master syllabi; support accreditation requirements and compliance with Illinois EMS regulations; engage with advisory committees, community partners, and workforce development efforts; participate in curriculum development, program assessment, and professional development using evidence-based instructional strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in EMS, public safety, healthcare, or related field
- Current State of Illinois paramedic license (or reciprocity within 3 months)
- Current Illinois EMS Lead Instructor license (or reciprocity within 3 months)
- Current CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- ITLS or PHTLS certification
