Job Summary
Emergency Medical Services Communications Coordinator (Per Diem) answers requests for emergency medical service using MPDS cards / ProQA for proper prioritization and pre-arrival instructions; dispatches calls and coordinates with units following guidelines; maintains accurate records for ambulances; works on routine and transactional assignments guided by policies, procedures and precedent; exercises independent judgment on basic to moderately complex issues; coordinates scheduled transports; follows policies; participates in required safety and back-up drills; duties are considered essential under the ADA; requires High School Diploma or equivalent, 1-3 years of technical experience, NYS EMT certification, and CPR certification.
