Job Summary
EMR position in Inuvik, NT with Ground Ambulance Service. Responsibilities include providing high-quality patient care in remote communities, assisting with ambulance operations and transport, documenting injuries and treatment, and maintaining equipment. Offers housing and travel support as part of comprehensive benefits; opportunities for career development and growth in paramedicine. Rotations are 3 weeks in / 3 weeks out; pay rate $350 per day. Eligible candidates must have an EMR certification (CMA/EMP Canada EMR), CPR/BLS, WHMIS, Class 4 Driver’s License, clean driving record, Vulnerable Sector Check, and current immunization records. Duties include teamwork with a PCP, assessing patient condition, safe transport to hospital, and equipment maintenance. Wildlife? Not applicable. The team emphasizes life-saving work in northern Canada and a mission-focused environment.
Required Qualifications
- EMR Emergency Medical Responder
- CMA accredited program or EMP Canada EMR Program
- HCP CPR Provider or BLS
- WHMIS
- Class 4 Driver’s License - (Must have)
- Drivers Abstract – in good standing
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check (within 90 days)
- Current Medical & Immunization Records
- Emergency Vehicle Operator certification or equivalent preferred
