Job Summary
Emergency Management IA/Housing Specialist advises and supports clients on IA/housing policy considerations, delivering technical assistance on IA housing policies and procedures, and helping establish and manage temporary housing strategies (e.g., group sites, hotels, tents, and temporary mobile homes) in accordance with Stafford Act/FEMA regulations. The role requires liaising with external partners and government agencies to leverage housing and emergency lodging resources, and developing strong client relationships while aligning with client priorities. This position emphasizes programmatic guidance on disaster housing and IA implementation, with a focus on FEMA IA, housing policies, and disaster recovery frameworks.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- At least three (3) years of professional experience in emergency management
- Proven knowledge and understanding of FEMA IA and housing policies as dictated in Sections 403, 408, and 428 of the Stafford Act, the IA Policy Guide (IAPPG), and NDRF
