Job Summary

Advise clients on Individual Assistance and housing policy considerations per the IAPPG and deliver technical assistance to state and local stakeholders on procedures and best practices. Support clients in establishing and managing temporary housing strategies, including group sites, hotels, tents, and mobile homes, in accordance with Stafford Act and FEMA regulations. Liaise with external partners, government agencies, and community organizations to leverage housing and emergency lodging resources for project implementation. Develop strong client relationships and serve as a daily, hands-on programmatic thought leader for client stakeholders. Prior experience coordinating temporary housing strategy is preferred. Candidates must have at least three years in emergency management and knowledge of FEMA IA policies under Sections 403, 408, and 428 of the Stafford Act.

Required Qualifications

  • At least three (3) years of professional experience in emergency management
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of FEMA IA and housing policies as dictated in Sections 403, 408, and 428 of the Stafford Act, the Individual Assistance Program and Policy Guide (IAPPG), and National Disaster Recovery Framework (NDRF)

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior experience in coordinating and managing temporary housing strategy preferred
