Job Summary
Senior Emergency Management and Operational Continuity Coordinator responsible for developing hazard analyses and emergency operations plans, monitoring regulatory compliance (CMS, Joint Commission, OSHA, NFPA), coordinating education and training for hospital staff, organizing local drills and full-scale exercises, activating the hospital’s Incident Command System during emergencies, managing on-call duties during incidents, facilitating after-action reporting, supporting COOP planning and continuity drills, and coordinating with regional healthcare coalitions. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5–7 years of related experience, knowledge of CMS/TJC/DNV standards, NIMS, ICS 100/200/700, and proficiency with MS Office; expected to work extended hours during activations and to be available for after-hours/on-call duties. Location: Winston-Salem, NC, US. Preferred certifications include ICS-300/400, CHEP, and CEM.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Emergency Management, Public Health, Business, Administration, Risk Management, Clinical or related discipline
- Minimum five to seven years of experience in related discipline
- Knowledge of regulatory (CMS, TJC, DNV) and regulatory agency code requirements
- Experience with NIMS and preparedness programs
- MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook proficiency
