Job Summary

Emergency Inspector responsible for conducting technical inspections in response to complaints and incidents, providing accurate technical information to supervisors and responders, communicating with agencies to assess incidents, issuing violations and stop work orders for non-compliance, preparing inspection reports and enforcement orders, and representing the department in court. May be on call or work nights, early mornings, holidays, and weekends.

Required Qualifications

  • Two years of full-time satisfactory experience in construction trades or related field or licensure as PE/RA/Site Safety Manager or 60 credits toward relevant degree or completion of apprentice program or equivalent experience as described in the posting
  • License as a professional engineer or registered architect
  • License as a Site Safety Manager (if not licensed engineer/architect)
  • Education/experience equivalent to listed items
  • Assignment Level II/III/IV eligibility requirements with progressive experience and/or degree
  • Able to be on call and work nights, early mornings, holidays, weekends
