EMERGENCY DEPT TECH - EMERGENCY ROOM - PRN VARIES (61382)

Emergency Department Technician provides basic patient care to patients of all ages in the Emergency Department under the guidance of the Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include phlebotomy, transporting patients, obtaining vital signs, EKGs, splinting, and catheter placement; maintain patient care environments, complete accurate documentation, and ensure patient rights and safety. Requires effective communication with patients, families, staff, physicians, and other departments. Demonstrates flexibility with scheduling and seeks assistance as needed. Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Certification: BLS required; Experience: PCT experience in a hospital setting; EMT/EMT-P or CNA experience preferred. This PRN/12-hour-shift role is located in Maryville, IL at the Maryville, IL 62062 area.
