EMERGENCY DEPT TECH - EMERGENCY ROOM - FT DAYS (62217)

Conduct patient care for newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics using effective communication skills with patients, staff, physicians, and families. Perform assigned tasks including phlebotomy, transporting patients, obtaining vital signs, EKGs, splinting, and catheter placement while maintaining a clean environment and proper equipment. Complete accurate documentation, report defective equipment, and utilize the chain of command during abrupt changes in acuity. Maintain calm, respect cultural diversity, and recognize limitations to seek assistance when necessary. Requires high school diploma, BLS certification, and patient care experience; EMT, EMT-P, or CNA experience preferred.
