Emergency Dept Tech - Emergency Dept FT, Variable

Emergency Dept Tech provides direct patient care in the emergency department under supervision, performing tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, oxygen therapy, basic ostomy and wound care, sterile/non-sterile soaks, perineal care, catheter removal with training, and documentation in the EMR. Responsibilities include data collection (vital signs, monitoring), assisting with activities of daily living, patient transport within the unit, pain management, and supporting the care team; may perform monitor tech or unit secretary duties as assigned. Maintains safety, infection control, and department operations, participates in ongoing education and compliance training, and assists with resuscitation and emergency airway procedures as needed. May need to assist with positioning, casts/dressings, and patient restraints per delegated tasks. Requires completion of relevant training or licensure in the field and adherence to department policies. Location is Greenville Memorial Hospital, Greenville, SC, with a variable work shift; position reports to a supervisor and is non-management.
