Emergency Department Travel Nurse

Job Summary
Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for patients while anticipating their informational and emotional needs. Guide Patient Care Technicians in patient care tasks such as emptying drainage devices, ambulating, and hygiene. Maintain knowledge of equipment setup and use, including IV pumps and monitoring devices, and initiate emergency support measures like cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Provide independent, high-quality patient care within your scope of practice as a National Internal Traveler RN. Full-time positions with days, nights, and weekend shifts available for 13-week assignments. Join CommonSpirit Health to help establish practices for the CommonSpirit Travel Program and work with a Program Director who is also a nurse.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as registered nurse in specialty area(s) (e.g., medical/surgical, telemetry, intensive care, emergency department, operating room, post-anesthesia recovery, pediatrics, maternal-child health)
- ADN or Nursing Diploma
- Current unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse from the state(s) in which he or she will be practicing and/or compact state license
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS.)
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in specialty preferred; certifications and competencies to support care area and patient population served
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
