Job Summary
Emergency Department Trauma Advanced Practice Provider (Weekday Coverage) to support the ACS & Critical Care team in the ED with trauma/surgical patient assessments, ED consultations, wound care, and procedures. Collaborates with surgeons, residents, and other APPs; coordinates discharges and follow-up care; documents encounters in the EMR; participates in quality improvement and contributes to education and research initiatives. Weekday coverage with potential weekend shifts; requires MD/NP leadership in a high-acuity ED environment.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Current NYS licensure and national certification (ANCC/AANP)
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Willing to audit or ATLS certified
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in surgical or inpatient care preferred
