Job Summary
Supports nursing and physician staff by performing tasks that assist in the care and treatment of patients in the Emergency Department. Serves as a liaison among members of the healthcare team, patients and families. Organizes, replaces and maintains inventory and supply levels in the Department. Assists in other department-related activities. Takes a proactive approach in anticipating the needs of the patient and/or care team by performing and completing tasks within scope of practice. Required Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or GED
- Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification upon hire
- Washington Nursing Assistant Certification License upon hire or, Washington Nursing Assistant Registered upon hire
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
- 1 year - Recent emergency department or related medical experience providing direct patient care, preferably in a free-standing emergency department
- EMT-B recent experience will be considered. EMT-B procedures and skills allowed are generally non-invasive
