Job Summary
Provide direct patient care under RN guidance, including vital sign measurement, personal hygiene, mobility assistance, lab draws, ECGs, wound care, and phlebotomy. Perform patient rounding, 1:1 safety companionship, and act as a liaison to report changes and concerns. Deliver high-level customer service to patients, families, and community providers while maintaining accurate, timely documentation and participating in handoff reports. Collect data within scope, complete patient screenings, and promote quality and safety by continuously improving care processes. Demonstrate problem-solving and conflict resolution under stress while maintaining knowledge of policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- BLS Basic Life Support
- Current certification for Emergency Medical Responder (EMR), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Medical Assisting
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience working as a Patient Care Tech, within a nursing support role or previous healthcare experience
- second year nursing student from a Registered Nurse (RN) program
