Job Summary
Provide direct patient care under RN guidance, including vital sign measurement, personal hygiene, mobility assistance, lab draws, ECGs, wound care, and patient transport. Perform patient rounding, 1:1 safety companionship, and act as a liaison to report changes to the nursing team. Deliver accurate documentation, complete screenings, and maintain knowledge of policies while promoting quality and safety through continuous process improvement. Work independently under stress to resolve conflicts and monitor patient conditions during treatment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- BLS Basic Life Support
- Current certification for Emergency Medical Responder (EMR), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Medical Assisting
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience working as a Patient Care Tech, within a nursing support role or previous healthcare experience or second year nursing student from a Registered Nurse (RN) program
