Job Summary
Deliver patient care in the Emergency Department under supervision by the RN and physician, including monitoring and performing treatments and procedures within scope, collecting pertinent data, assisting with OB/GYN care, wound care, sterile technique, phlebotomy, IV management, ECG (12-lead), oxygen administration, vital signs, and reporting clinical findings. Support includes attending to patient needs, prioritizing care with unit activity, and assisting in code situations under supervision, with a 12-hour night shift schedule (7:00 PM–7:30 AM) and every third weekend, based in Northwestern Medicine’s ED and Geneva, IL.
Required Qualifications
- Current EMT P license without restrictions or EMT B within at least one (1) year relative experience in a similar capacity
- High School graduate or equivalent
- CERT Basic Life Support
