Job Summary

Monitor and record critical patient vital signs, perform advanced diagnostics including 12-lead EKG collection and phlebotomy, and apply orthopedic splints. Deploy as an active responder for critical hospital alerts while managing behavioral health populations using expert de-escalation techniques. Provide essential daily care such as patient ambulation, positioning, and safe transport, ensuring safety through documented direct observation and appropriate restraint application. Maintain rigorous standards by conducting equipment safety checks, executing decontamination protocols, and coordinating logistical flow of blood products, labs, and clinical supplies. Uphold infection prevention mandates and strict HIPAA confidentiality guidelines. Work in the newly expanded Sheridan Emergency Department with direct mentorship from Registered Nurses.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current BLS Certification (or obtained at time of hire)

Desired Qualifications

  • Hands-on, patient-facing experience in a hospital environment
  • Familiarity with foundational medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
