Job Summary
Performs nonprofessional direct and indirect patient care in the Emergency Department under supervision of a registered nurse or licensed provider. Assists in a range of procedures, notes vital signs, helps with admissions/transfers/discharges, collects specimens, maintains infection control, supports administrative tasks, and may perform tasks such as glucose monitoring, EKGs, and phlebotomy as credentialed. Works 0.6 FTE with 7p-7a shifts (Night) and a 24-hour weekly schedule; requires high school diploma and BLS, with related clinical experience or enrollment in a related program.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire
- 1 year post high-school education completed in applicable course of study OR current enrollment in a relevant college program OR minimum of six months of experience in an Emergency Department or pre-hospital care setting
