Job Summary
Assists licensed nursing personnel and physicians in patient care by performing vital sign assessments, phlebotomy, patient positioning, and orthopedic services such as splint application and removal. Documents findings, performs EKGs, and ensures proper patient identification while modeling appropriate behavior aligned with mission values. Requires an EMT diploma, Tennessee Emergency Medical Personnel license, and BLS certification. Full-time night shift in Germantown.
Required Qualifications
- Technical Degree or Diploma Emerg Medical Tech (EMT)
- Emergency Medical Personnel Tennessee - Tennessee Emergency Medical Services Division
- BASIC LIFE SUPPORT - American Heart Association
- Ability to read, write, and understand verbal or written instructions
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally with others
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times according to policy and procedure and HIPAA requirements
- Must be able to communicate effectively and in a positive manner with patients, family, public, and other health care workers
- Must be able to cope with stressful situations, including death and dying and dealing with anguished relatives
- Must have good balance and coordination
- The physical requirements of this position are: medium work - exerting up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 25 lbs. of force frequently
- Close visual acuity including color, depth perception, and field of vision
- Ability to react quickly to emergency situations

- Technical Degree or Diploma Paramedic

- Advanced Emergency Medical Technician - Mississippi - Mississippi State Department of Health

- Successful completion orientation
