Job Summary
ED Tech provides direct patient care under RN guidance in accordance with regulations and hospital policies. Responsibilities include basic patient care, vital signs, hygiene, mobility assistance, lab draws, ECGs, wound care, 1:1 patient safety, and handoffs. Maintains accurate documentation, supports quality and safety improvements, and demonstrates ability to work independently under stress; requires High School Diploma or GED and relevant healthcare certifications as listed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, must obtain prior to direct patient care)
- Current certification for Emergency Medical Responder (EMR), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Medical Assisting (preferred)
