Job Summary
Emergency Department RN position in Washington, DC area. Responsibilities include serving as the first line of defense for patients needing urgent medical care, treating trauma or severe conditions, quickly assessing needs and prioritizing care, administering medications and operating medical equipment, participating in code blue and other emergencies, collaborating with physicians to develop care plans, determining discharge or admission needs, and educating patients and families about conditions and care plans. Qualifications include an ADN or higher nursing degree, active RN license, with ER experience preferred; ACLS/PALS certifications preferred; strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills. Required Qualifications
- ADN or higher degree in nursing
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
- 1+ years of experience in an emergency room (ER) setting preferred
- ACLS certification preferred
- PALS certification preferred
- Experience with advanced medical equipment and procedure
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
