Emergency Department RN

Provides direct patient care in the Emergency Department, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation within the standards of nursing care. Promotes patient and family centered care, educates patients and families on post-treatment home care and medication administration, and participates in activities to ensure patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance. Develops and documents plans of care in collaboration with the interprofessional team, patient and caregiver; communicates the plan across the continuum of care and uses critical nursing skills to address physical, psychosocial, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and population-specific needs. The role is safety-sensitive and supports the care ladder framework to advance professional development and leadership. Preferred qualifications include a BSN and Emergency Dept RN experience.
