Job Summary
Emergency Department RN (36Hr, Nights) based in Clackamas, OR. The role provides and coordinates nursing care across the ED team, including comprehensive assessments, individual care planning, implementation of the plan, and evaluation of patient progress. Relocation assistance is available. Responsibilities include multi-system assessments, discharge planning, patient teaching, accurate documentation in the EMR, and collaboration with multiple disciplines. Requires nine months of RN experience with one year of ED experience or completion of the Kaiser ED New Grad Internship, Oregon RN license, and certifications in BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale within stated timelines, plus ENPC or PALS as applicable. Preferred qualifications include additional nursing education and critical-care competencies. The position requires night shifts and will operate within the ED setting in Clackamas, Oregon.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum nine (9) months of RN experience
- One (1) year of current ED experience or successful completion of the Kaiser Permanente New Grad Internship Program in the ED
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire OR Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course within 6 months of hire
- Registered Nurse License (Oregon)
- NIH Stroke Scale Certificate within 3 months of hire
- Basic Life Support
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course
