Emergency Department Representative - Per Diem

Register, admit, and schedule patients to the Hospital Information System while gathering data for timely reimbursement and accurate registration. Communicate hospital policies and procedures to patients, prepare charts, accurately disposition cases, and scan all relevant paperwork per department policy. Collect insurance co-payments and adhere to St. Joseph Hospital, JCAHO, and regulatory agency requirements. Maintain service excellence throughout all interactions. Requires full-time training (Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm) for a minimum of four weeks, with a preferred background in registration or medical insurance and proficiency in EPIC and STAR systems.
