Job Summary
Emergency Department RN to provide and supervise direct patient care in the VA San Diego Healthcare System. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care; coordinating care across the continuum; supporting patient education for discharge and self-management; administering medications per policies; collaborating with an interdisciplinary team; communicating with patients and families across varying educational levels and cultural backgrounds; participating in unit/program level quality improvement and customer service initiatives; and working cooperatively as a team member. Requires BSN or ADN, active RN licensure in the US, BLS and ACLS certifications, and two years of ER experience. No sponsorship available. Pay range: $56.82-$61.75 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse academic program (BSN or ADN)
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in at least one state, territory, or commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Two (2) years of recent Emergency Room RN work experience is required
