Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Provides direct patient care in the Memorial Shiloh Emergency Department, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation within established nursing standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educates on post-treatment home care and medication administration, and collaborates with an interprofessional team to communicate and coordinate the plan of care across the continuum. Utilizes critical nursing skills to address physical, psychosocial, emotional and cultural needs; participates in patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance initiatives; supports professional development and leadership within the BJC RN Career Ladder. This is a safety-sensitive ED nursing role with opportunity to advance along the nursing ladder; role responsibilities include delivering care in a fast-paced emergency environment and maintaining high standards of patient care.
