Job Summary
Emergency Department physician assistant or nurse practitioner needed to perform triage, medical screening examination, stabilization and treatment under supervision of a licensed physician, in HRMC. Responsibilities include care of patients in the ED and same-day sick visits in the HRMC Physicians Clinic. Requires current SD PA/NP licensure and board certification, ACLS/PALS/ATLS, and a minimum of two years of ER experience. Bilingual (Spanish and Karen) applicants encouraged. Schedule includes nights, 70 hours every 3 weeks, 8:00am–6:30pm, Monday–Sunday; remote position not offered. Core values: REACH (Respectful, Engaged, Available, Competent, Helpful). Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited physician assistant program and certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants or graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner program and certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center
- Licensed and currently registered as a physician assistant/certified nurse practitioner in the State of South Dakota. Physician Assistant is registered with the South Dakota Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners. Nurse Practitioner is registered with the South Dakota Board of Nursing and the South Dakota Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners
- At least two years of ER experience.
- ACLS, PALS, and ATLS are required classes/certifications for competency in the HRMC Emergency Department.
